In 2023, during a short one-week holiday in India, Pranjal Jaiswal experienced something he had never faced anywhere in the world. One Thursday night, while returning home after dinner with his family, he noticed a group of drunk bikers lose balance and fall near the roadside. Acting out of good intentions, Pranjal stopped his car and approached them to offer help.

To his shock, instead of accepting assistance, the bikers turned hostile, accused him of causing the accident, and began attacking him. Overwhelmed and scared, Pranjal had to run for his safety. When he reported the incident to the police, they assured him they would check nearby surveillance cameras for evidence. But days passed, and no one was ever caught. The cameras were either not functioning or no one had reviewed the footage.

Back in the UK, Pranjal couldn’t forget that night. The fear and helplessness stayed with him, especially knowing that his family still lived in India. It made him question a critical reality despite millions of cameras being installed worldwide, incidents like his went unseen and unresolved because most footage was never actually monitored or reviewed.

In 2024, this realization turned into a mission. Pranjal left his job and began researching how artificial intelligence could transform passive surveillance into proactive security. He discovered that while organizations were investing billions in surveillance infrastructure, nearly 95% of recorded footage remained untouched. Cameras had become tools for evidence collection useful only after something had gone wrong.

Determined to change that, Pranjal founded AiChecked, an AI-powered surveillance platform designed to ensure that every camera truly watches, understands, and responds. His vision was clear: to create a world where no critical moment goes unnoticed and every camera actively contributes to safety.

 

Having worked at leading financial institutions like Deloitte & Lloyds Banking Group in the UK, Pranjal understood the challenges of securing large, complex organizations. He envisioned a future where cameras wouldn't just record they would understand, analyze, and protect in real-time.​​
